Mojo Monday 294 Inspired Card

Well, this is my first entry on any crafy blog challenge ever!  I am a beginner but I thought it would be fun to participate! So here it is!!

Mojo Monday 294

Here it is! I hope it does it justice!

I used the technique of sponging around the corners on the tag with ink and I loved it!  I hope you can see it on this picture.  I also love the rustic look of the hemp cord I used.  All I had was some ruffled sticky ribbon handy so I used that for the bottom of the card. Viola!

Just to show the inside of the card.

I created this cute card for my daughter's friend.  She was celebrated her QuinceaƱera (Sweet 15) and I thought of making her a special card.

I used heavy weight Georgia Pacific Card stock and variety paper from Michaels.  I am using Georgia Pacific for now because I am a newbie and found out from a veteran using Copics that this paper was good for beginners.  So far I think its coming out good.

Playing with Copic Markers today and my dies.  So much fun!  I am making birthday cards and Mother's Day.  No more buying cards for me!  I hope the recipients enjoy them.

This is one is for my mother in law.  She loves cats so I used a clear stamp I had bought and Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored with Copics and viola!  I am sure you can see some of my mistakes, but I loved coloring.  Practice makes perfect.

Copic Colors Used:

E00
E09
E11
E13

I was not meaning to use 4 colors but I wanted some more shadow around some areas, so I added E13 and blended with E11. I had fun using my white core card stock!  I love that technique of rubbing the embossed card stock with a sand block to bring out the design that was embossed.

This other card I did for my sister in law.  Her birthday is coming up so I decided to make her a card.  I pulled out the cardstock I had plus some little things I had like flowers and some bling, bling.

More cards to come ....

It's Dr. Who time!! My family is a big fan of the BBC series of Dr. Who and I had to make a card for my daughter's 15th birthday.  I went around the internet looking for ideas and this card I made is the end results of a couple of ideas combined.  I think it came out pretty good.  I used the following Copic marker colors to color the Dalek inside the card:

It was a lot of fun to make!

Its the beginning of April!! WOW! Where has the time gone!

I haven't had much time to "play" with my Big Shot but I made these two cards recently so I will post them to share.  They are not much compared to all the beautiful work many of you do, but as a beginner, I am on my way I think!  I ordered some more Copic Sketch Markers so once they arrive, I will attempt on coloring something simple with the stamps I have bought.  Let creativity begin!!
